VITAS® Healthcare has a rewarding opportunity for a full-time Medical Director!
Join our growing team of dedicated physicians as a Hospice Medical Director in Milpitas. We are looking for an experienced, board-certified physician with a passion for leadership and a commitment to our mission of preserving the quality of life for those who have a limited time to live.
In consultation with the patient's attending physicians, you will be responsible for the supervision and direction of an interdisciplinary hospice team of physicians, nurses and other professionals as they provide expert care and heartfelt support to patients and their families as they navigate end-of-life treatment. You will apply your clinical expertise and provide direct patient care proactively to manage the medical issues and challenges that accompany each patient's terminal diagnosis, with a strong emphasis on symptom and pain management. You will also educate referring physicians and other healthcare professionals about our hospice program and the potential benefits we offer to those that we serve.
Why Work for VITAS? VITAS knows that you treat every patient with dignity and respect, and we treat our employees the same way. Here, you'll find opportunities for growth and advancement, as well as competitive compensation and excellent benefits. And with our commitment to your professional development through both peer-to-peer and interdisciplinary mentorships, you will have the chance to work with—and learn from—some of the brightest minds in hospice and palliative medicine today.
