POSITION SUMMARY: The Managing Director of Sales is responsible for management and strategic direction in leading a health care sales force that drives growth in both a B2B and B2C method in Virginia, Maryland, District of Columbia and West Virginia. The sales team includes clinical professionals such as registered nurses and other allied healthcare professionals as well as non-clinical professionals. This leader drives sales through strategic planning and market analysis on a market-by-market basis in 8 unique territories through skillful deployment and management of a 15 – 20-person sales force. The successful candidate will possess a combination of skills including analytical bench strength, business planning, management of a skilled sales force, and personal health care sales experience at some point in their career. This individual possesses both quantitative and interpersonal management skills needed to reformulate and motivate a sales team to drive growth. This position will also require a leader to create more standardized processes, support systems, ROI accountability, CRM and PRM utilization, and deployment of traditional marketing and outreach tools used on the ground by the sales team. Work experience in medical sales, pharmaceutical sales, hospital sales, health care administration, or allied institutional health sales, is required.

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, clinical health care or a related field.
MBA or equivalent Masters-level business degree is required
15 - 20 years of work experience in sales and business development in an allied healthcare organization, with strong preference in a hospital, assisted living or pharmaceutical environment.
Interest, knowledge and preferably passion for the hospice and palliative care field.
Experience working in a hospital setting, assisted living and/or with payor sources preferred
