The Chief Medical Officer oversees medical affairs, credentialing, and medical staff quality; develops medical staff growth strategy to support the Medical Center Navicent Health's strategic plan; evaluates and strengthens the medical staff manpower resource; maintains a close focus on clinical excellence, patient satisfaction, and resource excellence operational metrics, continually seeking improvement in all three areas. The Chief Medical Officer shall play a major role in stimulating sustained staff and physician engagement and in the management of contracted physicians, hospitalists, and others providing advanced-level care and instruction.
Medical degree as well as Medical Board Specialty required in addition to requiring extensive and deep experience in medical and clinical practice management and supporting administrative activities; additional management experience in medical education and clinical quality and patient satisfaction improvement preferred.
