The Director of Regional Laundry and Linen Services will oversee the acquisition, processing, and delivery of linens used throughout the Christus Trinity Mother Frances Health System and associated healthcare providers that contract with the CTMFH Laundry. This position will be responsible for the effective operation and function of staff, facility, equipment, trucks and vendor services. This person will create the annual budget in cooperation with Finance, and operate the Regional Laundry and linen services within the annual established budget. Will also provide input on Capital request relating to Laundry operations.
This position will provide a facility and operations environment which follows regulatory and Association guidelines (OSHA, NFPA, CDC, ADA, HLAC and TRSA) relating to operations, the safety of staff, visitors and patients. In addition, an emergency management plan and MOU relationships will be established to ensure processing and delivery of linens during catastrophic events. Laundry vehicles will be acquired as needed and maintained and operated according to manufacturer standards under the direction of this position. This position will be responsible for pursuing revenue generating customer opportunities. Contracts will be created and managed to enhance CTMFH Laundry financial performance. The Director Regional Laundry and Linen services will provide communications, logistics and ongoing efforts to establish best in class service to all North East Texas Christus Health facilities serviced by CTMFH Laundry.
Certified Laundry Linen Manager (CLLM), or Certified Professional Laundry Manager (CPLM), or Registered Laundry & Linen Director (RLLD), or Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) or similar certification.
5 years' leadership experience in a Support Services background.
Prefer 5 or more years in Healthcare environmental services/laundry operations.
Current knowledge of tunnel washer and automated Laundry equipment.
Knowledge of Linen Master Commercial Laundry Program software.
