We are currently seeking a full-time Communications Coordinator to join our team.
Working under the direction of the Director, Marketing & Communications and Director, Government and Community Relations, this role will coordinate communications projects and assignments supporting the Hospital's strategic plan and corresponding marketing and communications plan. The Communications Coordinator will develop ongoing communications, including internal communications, planning, preparing and posting social media content, acting as an online community manager, providing analysis and reporting of social media results, and providing office and database management support. Initiatives may include multimedia projects such as photography and video support for social media, e-newsletters and mailings, webinars, collateral development and event coordination and management. The Communications Coordinator will work closely with the Senior Specialist, Public Relations, Social Media and others in developing new programs; and assist in coordinating the implementation of new communication strategies. Expectations include using organizational, problem-solving, writing and communication skills, while delivering materials with professionalism and in a timely and efficient manner.
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English or related field
Four years of work experience in a communications position preferred
Demonstrated excellent writing and editing skills
Demonstrated experience with social media platforms for organizations
Experience coordinating events
Demonstrated experience using organizational, situational problem-solving and teamwork capabilities
Strong computer skills using PowerPoint, Outlook, Word and Excel
Experience with database and/or email program management a plus
Attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and be flexible enough to evolve in a rapidly changing environment
Ability to work some evenings and weekends
