The proven professional chosen for this highly visible, high impact, strategic leadership role brings an exceptional array of organizational and administrative expertise and experience to capitalize on a careermaking leadership opportunity. The AVP will lead and orchestrate the development, supervision and evaluation of all accreditation readiness activities in keeping with the organization’s overall mission. Chosen leader will enhance, implement and oversee an enterprise wide regulatory readiness initiative with the objective of assuring a patient-safe environment of care and meeting and exceeding all regulatory and accreditation standards and guidelines. Selected candidate will direct all processes related to continual survey readiness, assuring compliance with The Joint Commission, the Ohio Department of Health and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services for hospitals, ambulatory practices and post-acute care across the UC Health enterprise. The chosen candidate will collaborate with clinical, operational and compliance leadership to assure regulatory adherence of licensed areas. The AVP will direct and coordinate all aspects of Disease Specific Joint Commission certifications in collaboration with the clinical leadership overseeing the program and facilitate the development, review and revision of clinical and administrative policies.

The selected executive is to be strategic-minded and well versed in all phases of regulatory readiness and accreditation as they relate to the elevation of organizational performance, quality, patient safety, risk management, overall process improvement and excellence in patient care and clinical outcomes. Winning candidate possesses working knowledge of leading edge resources and strategies, along with practical experience in the successful implementation of best practices. Chosen AVP will view and value the impact and importance of regulatory readiness and accreditation management as an essential element of the organization’s overall delivery of excellence and will assume a key leadership position in developing an ideal model worthy of emulation by other premier organizations. The AVP will discover every possible resource for success and will enjoy autonomy to advance regulatory and accreditation initiatives backed by solid financial resources and strong support to succeed that extends from the top.
Career track of progressive and increasingly complex management roles and experiences as leader of accreditation compliance in an acute care setting required. Experience earned within a system or large hospital with high volumes preferred. Working knowledge of clinical risk management and regulatory/accreditation readiness preferred. Clinical experience a plus. Experience in a teaching or academic environment also a plus.
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred. Demonstrated track record of success in accreditation, regulatory readiness and clinical certifications.
