Responsible for generating new business, developing new services or products, selling Reid’s services, developing new customers, and cultivating current relationships, providing coordination and collaborating with community agencies and internal Service Line Directors, Departments Directors, and Lean Management. Works with departments to generate ideas and develop joint strategies for new business and coordinate care. Participates in the creation of content value propositions, solutions, sales messages, datasheets aimed at communicating the value of Reid services to healthcare customers. Identifies and builds new business opportunities and enhances lines of communication between referral sources. Documents and tracks information to identify needs, problems and requested information.
Contributes to all aspects of the corporate development process: evaluation of new markets and sites, development of business cases for sound decision-making, cross-functional project management in the new clinic build phase, successful launch and ramp-up of new clinics and services with hand-over to operations. This position requires the leader to think strategically and also execute on a tactical basis.
Researches and develops organizational strategic planning initiatives, evaluates competitive services, market share, utilization of services, customer service and community needs.
Leads evaluation of emerging trends in health care to ensure novel and profitable approaches to care delivery.
Leads the analysis and improvement of current services to ensure they remain pertinent and profitable.
Promotes and grow services through a variety of functions including direct sales calls with providers, customers, professional organizations, employer seminars, events and direct relationships with decision makers.
Builds relationships and serves as a knowledge expert for employers and providers in the community.
Identifies and manages implementation of new revenue generating initiatives across the health system.
Serves as a liaison with the accounting and department directors to monitor and project financial impact to budget of strategic business changes.
Facilitates collaboration with outside agencies to promote services.
Prepares presentations as part of new services, business line development, and procedures.
In conjunction with RHPA leadership, works with local physician practices and office managers to implement and promote Reid’s services and understand how Reid can be of better service to their practice.
Promotes new services and programs to physicians, extended care facilities, employers, community and other potential customers.
Ensures the development initiatives support the missions, goals and values of Reid Health.
Works collaboratively with Lean personnel to implement projects and ideas developed through Lean research and/or kaizens.
Works with Reid Health Directors, Providers and Administrative Team to plan and implement business growth opportunities.
Carries out other duties essential to the position as directed by the Vice President.
Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or communications.
Education Preferred: MBA or graduate level degree.
Experience Required:Five years of marketing, business development, and managerial experience, development of business pro-forma and financial forecasting and working on complex projects that require multidisciplinary collaboration.
Experience Preferred:7 years of healthcare experience
Research and analysis of trends in practice/industry and new business opportunities; and development and execution of marketing/business development strategic plans and programs using necessary marketing mix and business development tools.
Strong project management, including setting priorities, planning, organization, follow-through, delegation and negotiation skills; proven ability to build, manage and track budgets and analyze ROI.
Other:Proficient in Excel/Access and other related quantitative tools.
Experienced in financial or managerial accounting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must have outstanding presentation skills and ability to present to small and large groups of people.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
