Your Impact at TESARO:
Provide strategic and operational management of program development activities. Lead the team to develop and recommend the program strategy, timing, budget, and measurable milestones. Partner with the development core program team to identify program challenges and risks and to develop propose plans and actions to mitigate the identified risks.
Collaborate and recommend program strategies, model scenario plans and build presentations to support courses of action.
Build operational plans for program strategy, including alternative and backup scenarios.
Identify all critical path activities and inter-linkages between activities.
Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of one or more development.
Drive annual operating budget planning for the program. Collaborate with Finance to
support tracking of actuals to budget, communicates deviations and identify variations.
Strong understanding of drug development strategies, across all critical product development disciplines (nonclinical, clinical, CMC, RA/QA, commercial strategy and development).
Project management and leadership training.
Requires a flexible work schedule to accommodate program priorities as needed.
Experience working on late-stage and/or commercial clinical development assets.
PhD (preferred) or BS/MS in a scientific discipline with experience in leading development teams
12+ years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry with focus in oncology.
7+ years of experience leading multi-disciplinary development teams in the execution of operational plans; ideally across multiple functional areas and various development phases.
Oncology-focused consulting experience from top-level organization
