The Vice President, Audit Services will provide value to advance Allina Health by leading a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluating and improving the effectiveness of the organization’s risk management, control and governance process. The Vice President will direct and manage the ongoing audit program to assist all members of management and the Audit and Compliance Committee in discharging their responsibilities. The administration of the audit plan includes all operating units within Allina Health and is subdivided into the following areas: financial reviews, clinical reviews, operational reviews, regulatory/compliance reviews, information system reviews, management request and consultation and special investigation. The Vice President will participate in committees and councils applicable to the role, including the Ethics and Compliance Oversight Committee and the Audit and Compliance Committee of the Board. Allina Health’s Audit Services is an independent appraisal function designed to assess the organization’s operations, adequacy of internal controls and accuracy of reported financial activities.
Ideal candidates will have demonstrated success serving within a comparable role with a regional or national healthcare organization. Proven experience and expertise in providing strategic vision along with tactical implementation to institute best practices to guide the continuous development of the audit function. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, an ability to lead change in a highly matrixed healthcare environment and exceptional presentation skills are essential. A bachelor’s degree with a CPA or CIA is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
