What You Will Do:
The Senior Business Development Analyst is responsible for aiding in the creation of comprehensive growth strategies for Valley Health System. S/he will have the opportunity to take part and have a voice in the full spectrum of business development: research, analysis, planning, forecasting and development of strategies and initiatives that will bring services to our communities, as well as discover new ways to grow revenue. This individual will need to work well in a team because s/he will work collaboratively with entity Presidents, Vice Presidents, System Directors, Service Line Directors, Analysts, and Strategic Finance, but also be comfortable working by him/herself, identifying opportunities and gaps on his/her own.
The successful candidate will be very comfortable working with numbers and large data sets across multiple platforms and databases, while also being comfortable analyzing the data to provide findings and recommendations. S/he must be capable of using software programs such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau, and be able to master internal software programs. In addition to successfully working in team and individual settings, the successful candidate will have sharp time management skills in order to meet deadlines and keep projects on task that can run weeks to months long, excellent communication skills in both conversational and presentation formats, and be able to self-educate to become the subject matter expert for each project they are assigned to lead to completion. Additional needed skillsets include strong critical thinking skills, advanced analytical aptitude, and the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects at one time. Examples of the exciting and impactful strategies and business plans that the department has recently worked on include: ambulatory strategies, physician offices/outreach, urgent cares, ambulatory care centers, advanced ambulatory care offerings, inpatient care offerings such as cath labs, identifying services to grow, and researching/studying national trends to analyze success rates – all in an effort to expand our regional market.
Experience 3-5 years of analytical experience preferred Healthcare related work experience preferred Experience in Microsoft Office software required Experience in an analytical capacity required Experience in a planning, strategy, business development or finance role required
