To direct personnel, with full accountability for client satisfaction, operational activities, and profitability, for specific clients, or specific functional responsibilities. Reviews and analyses revenue cycle reports and provides recommendations as warranted. Director will be responsible for up to $100 million in revenue or higher. This role requires 10% travel.
Direct complex RCM projects and teams for healthcare clients and oversee the operations in the assigned office(s).
Provide leadership for assigned areas by modeling the tone, goals and expectations for operational performance established by the VP of Operations.
Implement and monitor operational business methods consistent with corporate policy, productivity, cost efficiency and profitability standards defined by the VP of Operations.
Designs and compiles periodic revenue cycle reports for management to include analysis of revenue and medical service activity.
Deliver recurring (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) reports as requested by Vice President of Operations.
Focuses efforts on trending analysis, daily dashboards and ad hoc requests.
Acts of negative reporting trends to better meet the client’s Service Level Commitments.
Manage a complex group of clients with a wide range of practice types and ensure that performance measurements for those clients are consistently met, tracked and communicated
Ability to hire, develop, mentor, correct and lead an effective, successful staff
Implement well developed business practices (financial, market, industry) related to RCM
Maintain fiscal responsibility for assigned operation
Establish and support strategic client and customer relationships
Ensure compliance requirements are documented, monitored and met
Evaluate existing reporting options and enhance as appropriate to ensure client satisfaction
Collaborate with peers to improve communication with clients as they relate to government mandates, initiatives, incentives and penalties
Operations and Efficiency
Follow up with Operations personnel as appropriate and necessary to ensure that agreed-to directions and goals are being followed; hold Operations Supervisors’ accountable for results.
Directs and manages daily operation of departmental billing office to ensure all charges are processed, billed, and collected accurately and in a timely manner.
Analyzes, recommends, and implements policies and procedures as needed to maximize reimbursement for all services rendered in compliance with established third party guidelines and client policy.
Coordinates billing and collection efforts with Clients, affiliated institutions, all other third party payers, and other applicable departments.
Acquires and maintains thorough knowledge of Federal and State Legislative and Administrative action affecting physician reimbursement for assigned clients; disseminates acquired knowledge to Operations personnel
Develops billing policies and procedures for new technology and services, and obtains timely Client approval for implementation.
Knowledgeable of all corporate resources available; appropriately and knowledgeably calls upon corporate’s resources when necessary.
Provide strong and confident interface between corporate management, the client, and areas for which responsible.
Insures that Vice President of Operations receives important client and administrative information in a timely manner.
College or University degree preferred;
Extensive revenue cycle & operational experience in the healthcare industry;
5-7+ years of combined experience in management, revenue cycle and operation experience within a physician practice or healthcare system.
