340B Health has an immediate opening for a Communications Manager at our growing non-profit health care trade association. This position reports directly to the Director of Communications.
As the leading trade association for hospitals that participate in the 340B drug pricing program, 340B Health plays a critical role in educating and informing policy makers and key constituencies on the vital role that 340B drug pricing plays in assisting hospitals to serve low-income patients. 340B Health also serves as the leading organization to educate hospital members about the ever-changing 340B regulatory landscape and compliance requirements.
The Communications Manager will play a key role in the execution of 340B Health’s communications strategy, working closely with the Director of Communications and the Senior Vice President of Communications. The Manager will serve as the lead social media strategist and as the chief content editor for the organization’s websites. The Manager also will lead the organization’s initiative to highlight providers and patients impacted by the 340B program through video and written profiles.
Develop strategies and content for 340B Health and 340B Coalition social media platforms to reach policymakers, advocates, and the public
Utilize LinkedIn platform to reach business leaders
Write news articles and blog entries for the organization’s publications
Serve as lead for “Faces of 340B” video and written profile project
Assist with our two annual conferences
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or related field
Minimum of 4 years of experience in content creation
Knowledge of health care and health policy preferred
Knowledge of best practices and trends in social media
Experience managing social media networks and expanding them strategically
Strong writing skills
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Some travel required*
*Limited travel required but must help staff our annual national conference in California.
