Job Summary The Assistant Technical Manager is ASCP certified and assists in the development and review of certification and qualification examinations, examination support products, and the maintenance of item banks. Special Characteristics The Assistant Technical Manager, Examination Activities, assists in all phases of examination development and with examination support products. The Assistant Technical Manager must have appropriate clinical laboratory knowledge and strong computer skills. The Assistant Technical Manager maintains currency in the field of medical laboratory science in order to provide subject matter expertise in the maintenance of examination item banks and review of examinations and support products. Qualifications/Requirements Educational Background Associate’s degree required Bachelor’s degree preferred Area of study to include Medical Laboratory Sciences Must have ASCP certification Work Experience Minimum of three years of clinical laboratory work experience (recent laboratory work experience preferred) Recent teaching experience in Medical Laboratory Sciences preferred Special Training/Skills Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Strong computer database management skills Aptitude for learning new computer applications/software Excellent organizational and planning skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously Ability to work independently Equal Opportunity Employer: /Individuals with Disabilities/Protected Veteran |
