This position will provide clinical leadership and strategic oversight for Emergency Services, and will partner closely with Medical Directors in each clinical area including anesthesia. Areas of responsibility include: capital budgets and improvements over and under $50,000 as well as management of operational budgets for all areas, quality, patient safety, patient and staff satisfaction, and all regulatory standards for emergency care settings. The position will provide clinical leadership for approximately 500 visits per day at 6 Emergency Department sites which includes 4 free standing sites, one Urgent Care center, with a dotted line responsibility to 2 smaller community emergency departments. The Senior Director will have the opportunity to work with a team of 6 Managers, 8 Associate Nurse Managers, other support staff and total of 335 FTEs. Directs the strategic, growth and operational objectives for Emergency Services. Oversees improvement initiatives to achieve quality patient care. Directs program development, performance management, personnel activities, budget, and provision of services.
Directs strategic, growth and operational objectives. Integrates the department's outpatient services and strategic plan with the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Oversees department operations. Develops and empowers the management team to lead daily operations, resolve issues, manage employee performance, manage physician relations, ensure high-quality patient care and service excellence, and ensure operational efficiencies. Maintains high engagement and accountability environments, where employees have an opportunity for job satisfaction and participation. Maintains staffing and explores system-wide opportunities to modify processes to improve quality or reduce cost. Handles budgets for emergency sites. Manages cost containment, equipment evaluation, procedure evaluation and inventory control.
Master's degree in a relevant field.
5 years of relevant experience.
Preferred: Leadership experience in an Emergency services environment.
