Intermountain Healthcare of Salt Lake City, Utah has retained Witt/Kieffer to assist in the recruitment for their head of finance at Primary Children's Hospital (PCH). This is an exciting opportunity to join an award winning health system and be a part of a senior management team for a top tier children's hospital.
PCH is a 289-bed children's hospital with a Level I pediatric trauma center and is an integral part of the 23 hospital Intermountain Healthcare system. U.S. News & World Report ranks PCH as one of the nation's "Best Children's Hospitals" in 9 out of 10 pediatric specialties. The geographic reach and demand for PCH's services continues to grow. Currently, PCH has more than 60 medical and surgical pediatric specialties that have expanded via outpatient clinics in Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Wyoming and Alaska. PCH serves as the comprehensive clinical, research and teaching affiliate of the University of Utah School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics. Intermountain Healthcare recently announced that it will build a new children's hospital in Lehi (Utah County). The pediatric population of Utah County market is growing nearly twice as fast as that of Salt Lake County. The new children's hospital is targeted to open in 2022.
As a member of PCH's senior leadership team, there is a tremendous opportunity to contribute to the strategic growth and operational excellence of this nationally recognized children's hospital. This position also serves as the head of finance for the entire pediatric service line for all of the Intermountain Healthcare system and will have significant impact over the financial strategy for this very important part of the system. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of strategic and operational finance skills with a record of accomplishments gained from finance leadership roles in a hospital that has a significant academic component. Most importantly, candidates will have a passion for pediatric healthcare and thrive on working in a fast paced environment that delivers world-class children’s healthcare.
