This position will be responsible for the strategy development and deployment of Banner Health's system-wide well-being strategy. The four pillars of the defined strategy include MyHealth, MyWealth, MyGrowth and MyBalance. Role will define, develop and deliver an enterprise defined program to assist Banner Health leadership in support of the workforce of the future. The role will be responsible for the development of Banner Health's Well-being engagement strategy. This includes vendor management of the Virgin Pulse Engage Platform that supports a $400M benefits plan and the coordination with the various employee health councils and Employee's Choosing Healthy Options (ECHO) work teams. The program will be progressive, engaging and best of class as a well-being program enhancing the base benefit offerings. This position will require cross functional collaboration with all levels and require significant strength in team building and influence. Role will be responsible for implementation of communications plan eliciting multiple channels of communications. Will require presentation development and delivery up to and including senior leadership. Must be able to develop measurable outcomes, first driving participation/engagement and moving into sustained performance. Works with employee Change Champions to build enthusiasm and focus efforts. Consults with other departments/functions in the company to align efforts and reinforce a culture of wellness. Reviews the newest health trends and studies with outside consultants. Stays on top of any changes to health and safety regulations with government agencies. This position will have up to 15 direct reports/matrix reporting relationships. This position is the most senior position in the well-being/wellness space.
Manages professional or supervisory employees. Hires, trains, conducts performance reviews, and directs the workflow of designated staff.
Makes decisions within approved operating plans and objectives and within functional policies and precedents. May manage budget for large and/or complex projects or programs.
Sets direction and resolves problems. Resolves increasingly complex customer complaints or problems.
Interacts primarily with direct reports, supervisor, customers, peer managers, supervisors peers, patients and physicians.
Bachelors degree or equivalent working knowledge in the field of Health Promotion, Fitness, Human Resources.
Proven record of success implementing workplace wellness, health and/or well being programs. Experience in design of motivational strategies driving long term behavioral change through financial rewards attached to health and medical plans. Knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations surrounding bona-fide wellness programs.
Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) or 5 years progressive experience in development and deployment of workplace wellness/well-being strategy.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
