We are recruiting a Capital Projects Consultant to join our Hospital Division in Louisville, KY.
Develops, implements, and maintains a cost accounting system to manage construction and capital projects.
Develops, implements and maintains a cost accounting system to track construction and capital projects.
Coordinates capital projects to include initiation, obtaining approvals, putting vendors to work through the purchase order process, ensuring prompt payment is made, reconciling and closing out of projects.
Provides monthly status reports on capital budgets and spending to executives.
Monitors the differences between the actual costs and budgeted costs and makes recommendations to adjust spending accordingly.
Prepares detailed financial analyses of actual costs versus budgeted costs and provides guidance to the divisions for cost overruns.
Assists in development of budgets.
Comprehensive knowledge/skill in accounting and financial analysis to analyze and project business trends and financial results and project appropriate accounting treatment.
Excellent analytical and research skills.
Excellent multi-tasking skills with accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Must have excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
Advanced computer skills, including spreadsheets
Strong interpersonal skills.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or Accounting
5+ years experience in healthcare accounting, construction accounting, and/or finance, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment, with an emphasis on financial analysis, capital projections or capital budgeting.
SAP financial experience preferred.
