This position is eligible for a CRITICAL POSITION BONUS equal to $10,000.00 as well as RELOCATION ASSITANCE.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Manager of Medical Staff Services plans, develops, organizes and manages the operation of the medical staff office to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of the hospital and to meet the requirements of the medical staff bylaws, Joint Commission standards and any other applicable federal/state regulatory agencies.
REQUIREMENTS: Associates degree (A.A) or equivalent combination of education and management experience. Minimum two (2) years of medical staff credentialing experience. Current NAMSS membership.
The incumbent will understand Joint Commission standards as they relate to the medical staff and be able to communicate effectively with administration and medical staff members. This position should also have a working knowledge of office procedures and practice; with computer skills (internet); and legal terminology would be helpful. The incumbent will be highly detailed and organized.
The incumbent must have the ability to read, analyze and interpret common medical staff standards. Professional and effectively correspond in writing or on the telephone. Ability to effectively present information to management, medical staff and public groups and/or board of Managers, as needed. Preferred experience includes a Bachelor's degree; Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Manager of Medical Staff Services (CMSC).
Telecommuting is allowed. Employer will assist with relocation costs.
