University of Kentucky HealthCare (UK HealthCare) is seeking a Strategy Manager to oversee the Service Line and System Strategy components within The Enterprise Strategy Office (ESO). The Strategy Manager works directly with Executive Leadership in managing teams through strategic problem solving, solution development, and implementation planning and tracking across a range of strategic issues. This role provides leadership to all strategic planning activities related to service line and enterprise-level projects, including the College of Medicine, facilities planning and projections, ambulatory planning, and certificates of need.
The Strategy Manager is responsible for analyzing complex issues and conduct quantitative analyses to determine the feasibility of operational and investment decisions including the design and development of business cases and making recommendations for action to clinical and executive leadership. This role plays a key role in recommending clinical outreach activities to clinical and executive leadership based on market trends and data, gaps-in-service, and other competitive opportunities. This role determines growth strategy by evaluating current opportunities in the market and identifying potential revenue streams.
Additionally, this role is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with assigned Service Lines and their respective chairs and administrators, partnering with clinical chairs and chiefs, senior and executive leadership, service line administrators, and peers in finance, physician liaisons, outreach, and marketing, and will be expected to collaborate with the market and intelligence components within the Enterprise Strategy Office
Responsibilities also include managing the relationships with external data sources such as Sg2 and Advisory Board. This role is responsible for coordinating all enterprise activities and requests with Sg2 and the Advisory Board Company.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Health Administration, or business related field
This position requires a minimum of seven years work experience in business development and strategic planning with demonstrated skills in analytics, data modeling, and data base management.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
A Master’s degree from a recognized college or university in Business Administration, Business Management, Health Administration, or business related field.
Experience in a complex, matrix and academic medical center environments.
