This position serves as a key service line and market development and analytics resource for Stormont Vail Health. Responsible for the research, analysis and reporting of information relevant to the development and implementation of the organization’s service line and new market strategies, including the successful positioning of core service lines including Cardiac, Orthopedics, Oncology and Women’s Health. In collaboration with the Director, they are responsible for the facilitation, development and monitoring of the system’s service line and business plans. The position will interface with multiple departments including regional relations, clinic and hospital operations and physicians services to ensure effective implementation of service and market initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Identifies service line development and growth opportunities. Evaluates collaboration opportunities with outside groups, health systems and other potential partners.
Responsible for the development, analysis and implementation of strategic business initiatives. Supports department directors, administrative staff and other SV personnel in planning new services or expansion of existing services by describing and analyzing internal trends and external factors relevant to potential need and demand for services.
Works collaboratively with key stakeholders including Corporate Finance to collect and analyze data and create and implement business development plans.
Required to manage multiple plans simultaneously to meet agreed to implementation timelines.
Utilizes market data, patient satisfaction reports, quality of care measures, medical staff and consumer survey results to better position service line strategies.
Responsible for staying current on and reporting changes related to healthcare legislation that impacts SVH’s market position and as relates to mandated reporting requirements
In collaboration with the Financial Management Department, assists with and provides support for the implementation and reporting process for various analytical tools including, but not limited to the Crimson physician database, Action OI, and the Decision Support software.
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Statistics, or related field preferred.
Five years experience in the development and implementation of strategic and business plans in a complex health care environment required.
