Job Summary:
Provides accounting support with a high degree of accuracy to ensure accurate and timely financial statement presentations. Assists in the preparation and review of Geisinger Health Plans financial statements through maintenance and review of all general ledger (GL) reports while completing other assigned duties in a timely manner.
Performs duties to support the goals and objectives of GHPs Financial Reporting in its efforts to produce timely and accurate financial statements. Includes the creation and maintenance of automated financial reports and providing training to various departments in the utilization of the Lawson GL and Accounts Payable (AP) systems to help manage their respective departmental budgets.
Works directly under the supervision of the Manager, Financial Reporting. Prepares various entries and analysis for medical expenses, premium revenue, administrative expenses and inter-company balancing.

Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, accounting or related business field required. Minimum of two years of accounting, auditing or relevant financial experience required. OR Master’s degree in finance, business administration, accounting or related business field required. OR Associate’s degree in Accounting with a minimum of three years accounting related work experience, providing an understanding of accounting principles and the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports required
