Communications Specialist

This position will have responsibility for day-to-day support of the field communications team including but not limited to media monitoring, reporting, professional writing to a broad audience and other tasks as assigned to support hospital business initiatives.
The communications specialist will be responsible for implementation of media monitoring platforms, ensuring timely reports each month for corporate office and field teams, project management and other reactive communications activities at the direction of senior staff. This role will also support the senior director in other projects as assigned.
The role will require you to do significantly more than report and write; you must be a compelling storyteller, fun teammate and a creative partner. You should come with new ideas for communicating effectively to a diverse and diffuse workforce.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a commitment to all four of departmental goals while being well-organized, extremely detail-oriented, a self-starter and able to work in a fast-paced environment with short deadlines and with multiple projects. The candidate must also be a team player with a strong work ethic. Qualifications: A bachelor�s degree is required, preferably in communications, English, journalism, or a related field. Must have a minimum of 2-4 years of corporate, in-house or agency communications experience.
