JOB TITLE: Application Developer Lead LOCATION: Geisinger Centerpoint DEPARTMENT: Information Technology WORK SCHEDULE: Days WORK TYPE: Full Time
JOB SUMMARY: Reviews, analyzes, modifies, creates, debugs, designs, and tests applications using modern development methodologies and tools and oversees this activity by others. Uses creativity and out of the box thinking to drive key insights in design and application architecture discussions. Must be detail orientated, able to do advanced problem solving, understand complex systems and perform thorough problem analysis. Required to maintain continuing education on the ever changing application development tool sets. Is a key leader on a multidisciplinary team and will engage in all aspects of the application development life-cycle as needed for each project to be successful. Works directly with the business to establish project scope and milestones and ensure the project is meeting the business needs. Is expected to be a self starter, work with minimal supervision, and coach, lead and direct the work of others based on extensive experience. Uses seasoned judgment to plan the team’s work and accomplish the team’s goals. Is an expert on the team's systems, technology and methodology.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *Understands assigned tasks and ask for seeks clarification when necessary.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS: Demonstrates attention to detail and the ability to problem solve through problem analysis.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree in computer or information science required. Minimum of seven years of application development experience required.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is typically performed in an office environment with occasional travel to different buildings. Mostly sedentary work interacting with computers and people. Requires ability to perform visual inspection and lifting less than 10 pounds.
