Employee relations encompasses the organization’s overall approach to maintaining a positive, open, productive, cohesive and diverse work environment within the organization. Additionally, Employee Relations is concerned with anticipating, addressing and diffusing workplace issues that may interfere with the organization’s business objectives, and with resolving disputes between and among management and employees.
The organization's Employee Relations model supports the policies and practices governing workplace rules and conduct, and guides its compliance to federal, state and local laws and regulations governing and impacting the employment relationship. The ingredients of the employment relationship are communication, trust, ethics, morals, fairness, conflict resolution, career development and other intangibles. ABOUT YOU You will play a vital role to ensure that Satellite’s culture is reinforced and that employees feel connected, recognized and proud to be a part of the company. You enjoy engaging with employees on a one on one basis or in small groups. You act as a liaison to gain a sense of outstanding issues and gaps in employee satisfaction, keep employees informed about corporate initiatives, and bridge the gap between the clinics and home office. You think outside the box as you develop and implement plans to increase overall employee satisfaction. You approach your work with an indisputable sense of greater purpose as you establish and participate in employee involvement groups to address issues concerning culture, communication, recognition and other areas of employee satisfaction. You listen with intent as you conduct employee exit interviews to gain a better sense of existing employee issues. You understand the importance of coaching, recognition and communication, and partner with the Training and Development Director to reinforce these key skills.

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related degree. A Master’s degree preferred.
10 + years of Employee Relations Experience, managerial courage; able to have critical conversations, using diplomacy and tact to diffuse high tension situations effectively.
Excellent issue resolution skills with the ability to negotiate and resolve complex matters.
Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret written business and statistical data.
Ability to think systemically and consult strategically with all levels of managers and leaders.
Expert knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations.
Demonstrated success in resolution of highly complex ER issues working with all levels of employees and management, from non-exempt to executive levels.
