The Tenet Value Based Programs (VBP) Specialist will work directly with the Manager, Value Based Programs, participating physicians, contracted vendors, and key stakeholders to accelerate hospitalsï¿½ success in CMS bundled payment programs currently including BPCI-Advanced and CJR.
The VBP Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Manager, VBP in forming, growing and maintaining successful long-term relationships with stakeholder individuals and business entities (including physicians, medical groups, naviHealth, and post-acute care providers in the region), for reporting on program performance, identifying and implementing critical program strategies, and for organizing and leading local program meetings with hospital and/or physicians to advance program engagement and adoption of clinical best practices, while striving to improve overall patient care.
Note: Bundled Payments for Care Improvement (BPCI) Advanced Program is a 5 ï¿½ year CMS Value-Based program designed to improve patient care while reducing overall expenditures. Deliverables include supporting the Manager, Value Based Programs in the following activities.
Supports local vendor relationships and related communications/action plan priorities
Attends a variety of regularly scheduled multi-stakeholder forums and meetings virtually and in-person for each hospitalï¿½s unique clinical episodes in order to engage the clinical and operations teams. Documents key action items and takeaways for the programï¿½s action plan
Assists in the development of physician, clinician, and patient-oriented educational and marketing materials including handouts, newsletters, and PowerPoint presentations. Distributes materials describing the services available to relevant stakeholders
Assists in scheduling meetings with physicians, as well as monitoring physician performance through monthly scorecards and claims-based data. Occasionally meets with physicians to discuss BPCI Advanced performance during one-on-one physician meetings
Serves as one of the primary contacts for physician inquiries relative to the health systemï¿½s services and bundled clinical episodes
Monitors and tracks market activity that will assist in ongoing evaluation of the BPCI Advanced or other value based program strategy, related proforma and business planning
Supports the programï¿½s communications messaging strategy
Maintains cooperative working relationships with physicians, vendors, program partners, and hospital administration
Engages physicians/PGPs in a timely manner
Supports implementation for other value based programs
ï¿½Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field from an accredited college or university.
ï¿½A minimum of three years or relative work history and experience in hospital network development, value-based program operations, clinical operations, post-acute operations, project management, or history of extensive physician engagement.
ï¿½Must have excellent communication skills and be proficient at Excel, Word and Power Point. Knowledge of Tableau a plus.
