The Application Development Team Lead is part of the Application Development team and reports directly to the Manager of Application Development. This position is primarily responsible for leading day-to-day activities for the team of Application Developers and SharePoint Administrators and Developers. This role is the most senior level Developer on the team and requires subject matter, and hands on expertise, on Microsoft and .NET frameworks. Additionally, this position requires experience utilizing the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies and building software applications. Other responsibilities include providing technical oversight on the day-to-day activities related to Tier III Incident, Problem, Request and Change Management. Additionally, the Team Lead will monitor project tasks and assist management and project leaders with team leadership and guidance. This position requires a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal oversight.
Team Lead Leadership
Ensures call docket(s) are managed
Assists with resource management planning
Assists with Technical Architecture
Assist and works with manager with documenting technical standards, procedures and policies
Assists Management with department on-boarding/mentorship program
Co-Lead team meetings
Serves as delegate for IM operational meetings (i.e. Change Advisor Board, Project Logistic Committee, Problem Advisory Board)
Participates in interviews and candidate selection
Participates in and provides documentation related to performance management
Provides input to Management related to budget planning and budget management
Fulfills additional educational requirements
Technical and Project Leadership
Serves as the Technical Leader for Application Development initiatives including managing project work, documentation, communication, and organizing resources.
Leads in defining boundaries, setting priorities, planning and managing multiple projects.
Provides on-going status reporting to Management related to all assigned projects.
Monitors project progress and assists Management in resolving approved deviations from plan.
Oversees the business requirements gathering, design, coding, testing and support of applications during the software development life cycle.
Plans and manages a diverse set of tasks working closely with the Program Managers, Project Managers, and Business Systems Analysts.
Release Management and Production Support
Provides/coordinates resolution of issues while recommending procedures and controls for problem prevention, escalation, etc.
Serves as an escalation point with SLA breaches.
Assists with the coordination of code changes from development, test and production environments
Collaborates with technical team to identify any infrastructure related issues that have resulted in application issues.
Monitors open Incidents, Changes, Problems and Service Requests to ensure agreed upon SLA's are met for respective Service Line.
Provides on-going status reporting to Management regarding support metrics and SLA statuses.
Understands the business and operational capabilities of the information technology that he/she works with.
Produces required department reporting.

May be required to work outside of normal working hours.

Bachelor's degree or combined equivalent hands-on experience related to application development.
Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer preferred.
Five year or more years of experience with SharePoint, ServiceNow or development of Software Applications.
Experience developing software applications using Microsoft .NET framework, C#, ReactJS, Node, MVC, SharePoint
