Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy, Marketing & Business Development, this role positions the organization to attain maximum impact in business development to increase or adjust market share profitability and volume growth for existing clinical operating units. Assists with identifying new business opportunities. Communicates results to a various internal clients including senior executives, department leaders, and clinicians. Works collaboratively to align and synchronize data needed to support planning and business development initiatives. Must have demonstrated success with advanced health system planning, market development, and facilitation of certificate need (CON) processes. Serves as the system-wide coordinator of all memberships with the Advisory Board Companies, including budget preparation, scheduling of onsite workshops, ongoing research needs, and overall relationship management.
Education & Training: Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration or Business (MBA) required.
Work Orientation & Experience: Eight (8) or more years of experience in strategy, planning, finance, business development or operational experience applicable to a health care environment.
Skills & Abilities: Candidate must have strong writing, communication, quantitative and leadership skills and be able to work well with staff at all levels. Proficiency in health care data software systems required. Strong skills in PowerPoint, Access, Word and Excel software systems are required. Candidate must also be a self-starter, results oriented, strong balance between process/results, high integrity; honest and sincere, detail-minded but can also see the big picture, enjoy hands-on data analysis, attentive to deadlines and changing priorities, a team player, creative yet precise in the development of presentations, and an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing. Candidate must process proven organizational and reporting skills in addition to technical acumen. Candidate should have a demonstrated record of collaborating with teams and supporting projects of all sizes in a variety of methods and environments. As this position serves multiple constituents, it requires an individual with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
