Central Maine Healthcare (CMH) is seeking a dynamic and highly accomplished executive for the role of Vice President, Strategy. This is an exciting time to be joining and leading the organization through a strategic transformation. CMH is an integrated, three-hospital healthcare delivery system with $760 million in net revenues, serving some 400,000 people living in central, western, and mid-coast Maine. Combined, the three hospitals and medical group serve a region from northeastern New Hampshire to Maine’s Kennebec County. CMH has more than 4,000 dedicated employees serving over 400,000 people in the region.
Reporting to the CEO of CMH, the VP will serve as his key advisor on matters related to strategy, business development, managed care, population health, market position, service line development and other matters connected to maintaining or improving market leadership in acute, ancillary and outpatient services. This executive leads the organization in collecting information, assessing, planning, developing and applying business analytics and implementing strategies and tactics in order to maintain and grow market share and revenue. Identification of opportunities for program development, service line development and medical staff alignment will be a key element of this individual’s role
The ideal candidate will be a Masters prepared (e.g., MBA, MHA, or comparable degree) strategic/business development executive with a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible involvement in strategic planning, managed care contracting, business and network development, and physician integration experience. Healthcare experience is preferred, with non-health, service-oriented industry experience given consideration. Successful candidates will be experienced in analyzing and implementing broad-reaching strategies that address issues of market growth in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.
