Full Time, Monday-Friday.
You Will Be Responsible For:
Responsible for hiring, developing, scheduling and maintaining the HCP Float Pool.
Maintains a roster of the Float Pool staff by position that includes staff availability, contact phone numbers and addresses, skill sets and certifications.
Responsible for Time and Attendance functions for all float pool staff. Tracks Float Pool payroll to determine that the appropriate cost center is charged. Provides coverage at Practices as appropriate.
Interfaces with Practices to assure that float pool staff are introduced, in-serviced for appropriate coverage and determines that provided coverage is satisfactory.
Coordinates coverage to minimize travel reimbursement when possible.
Responsible for scheduling HCP orientation for all new HCP Float pool staff.
Develops training materials and tools for the orientation and preceptor program and as needed updates materials
Develops and updates initial competency materials and assures that staff passes competencies prior to starting their position.
Coordinates the review of competencies through the use of preceptors.
Oversees the process for annual competency assessment.
Reviews the progress of new float pool staff and preceptors to assure continued growth in their position. Provides feedback in the evaluation process during new staff introductory period. Completes annual evaluations timely
Provide written documentation of problems encountered during training to the Practice Managers
What will you need?
High School Diploma
Valid driverâ™s license
Requires 5 yearsâ™ experience in a medical setting
Knowledge of medical coding to include CPT, ICD9 and HCPCS coding.
Knowledge of medical billing/collection practices.
Knowledge of payment and adjustment policies and procedures.
Knowledge of third party reimbursement terminology, explanations and policies.
Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows based electronic patient management system required.
