The University of Rochester Medical Center’s Talent Acquisition team continues to grow and is seeking a Director of Physician Recruitment. The Director of Physician Recruitment will work collaboratively with Medical Center Chairs, Chiefs, and Division leadership to establish a proactive recruitment program that supports a best-in-class experience for clinicians. This will be achieved through policy changes and developing best practices related to outreach and recruitment of Physicians, including efforts to enhance the candidate experience, customer service and efficiency in operations.
Primary responsibilities include:
Collaborate closely with the Senior Director of Talent Acquisition, URMC’s VP of HR and URMC leadership to execute recruitment plans that secure top talent in identified areas. Consult with client managers and Chairs to establish relationships and create mutually beneficial partnerships. Provide advice and guidance around best practices for recruiting Physicians.
Provide direction to Physician Recruitment Specialists, aligning their activity to support search committee formation, department interviews, candidate visits and finalist selection. Develop screening and selection processes that will provide candidates with a rewarding overall experience.
Evaluate current programs/policies associated with Physician Recruitment, developing new and innovative approaches for Physician outreach and recruitment. Continually evaluate policies to ensure goals and objectives are being met, recommending and implementing changes when appropriate.
Work with Faculty Leadership and Marketing to develop and reinforce URMC’s Employer Brand to focus on attracting highly qualified, diverse clinicians. Identify vendors and services that will support the recruitment marketing process.
Utilize data to determine the effectiveness of recruitment efforts and adjust recruitment strategies. Prepare presentations to convey program goals and outcomes to senior leadership.
5+ years of experience in Physician Recruitment
At least 3 years’ experience managing a Recruitment function and team
Prior recruiting experience in an Academic Medical Center is helpful
