Description Overview: We are looking for an ETL Application Developer who will perform a variety of programming tasks in support of the research and data teams. This person's main focus will be developing pipelines for data extraction and transformation processes, developing/modifying data models, and automating common workflows. This will include developing complex SQL scripts for data ingestion and extraction, developing and maintaining programs as required for the ETL process, keeping accurate and complete project documentation, performing quality testing and data assurance, and working with project managers to satisfy data and research needs. The person in this role will need to be adaptable and be able to pick up whatever new skills and expertise are needed to complete the project at hand. Experience with and knowledge of:

Job Summary This ETL Application Developer will perform a variety of programming tasks in support of the big data team. Our team builds and maintains large-scale clinical research data repositories, which contain data gathered from the EMR and across the clinical enterprise. We transform the data to make it more suitable for data mining and research as well as build tools that allow researchers to explore and interact with the data. This person's main focus will be developing software tools to fulfill phenotype requests and automate common analysis workflows. This will include developing complex SQL scripts for data analysis and extraction, developing and maintaining programs as required for the ETL process, keeping accurate and complete project documentation, performing quality testing and data assurance, and working with project managers and team members to satisfy research needs. The person in this role will need to be adaptable and be able to pick up whatever new skills and expertise are needed to complete the project at hand. Expected Performances This position will develop and modify software under occasional guidance; design, code, and perform benchmark testing, as well as debugging and documentation of programs.
