Work Hours/Shift: - Full-Time, Monday – Friday
You Will Be Responsible For: - Duties include leading real estate transactions and acquiring properties, drafting and negotiating real estate leases and construction contracts; advising on laws and regulations that pertain to real property; reviewing title objections, handling property tax exemptions and experience with leasing, financing, construction and environmental matters.
- Support in other real estate matters as needed, including disputes and other issues related to company’s property relationships.
- Advise the property management team, executive management, and corporate responsibility on a wide variety of real estate matters
Qualifications
What You Will Need: - Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school with a strong academic record
- Minimum five to ten years real estate law practice experience
- Ability to accomplish assignments without supervision, ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple requests for services
- Self-motivation, excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills
- Working progressively with many individuals on projects as a team player
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in use of technology and information systems, including Lexis, Sharepoint, Excel and online tools
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: - Experience in both in-house and foundational training obtained in a reputable law firm that focused on real estate transactional matters in complex organizations
- Familiarity with healthcare law as it impacts real estate matters
Job Summary: AdventHealth, one of the largest integrated health care delivery systems nationally with locations in nine states, is seeking an experienced attorney who will provide real estate legal advice and services to the AdventHealth West Florida Division, consisting of ten acute care hospitals, three freestanding offsite emergency departments, a multi-specialty physician practice, and a post-acute long term acute care facility. This position will also provide some similar real estate services to the Central Florida Region as well. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate transactions, with an ability to monitor legal risk in real estate documentation and advise accordingly, interpret laws, rulings and regulations.
