You Will Be Responsible For:
Develops, implements, and maintains ongoing training program for clinical information system (Athena & Cerner) for physicians, their staff, and facility clinicians as needed. This will include training manuals, computer-based training, and identifying and coordinating education needs
Demonstrates strong customer service focus for all internal and external customers
Collaborates with other departments as necessary to meet physician/ office staff and facility staff educational needs
Responds to physician/ staff application concerns as soon as possible, taking appropriates steps to resolve in a timely manner
Maintains working knowledge of organization activities, applications, concepts and operations procedures. Also communicates suggestions, criticisms and questions to Information Services Director and Clinical Informatics Director
Assist with pilot programs and any post implementation projects
Work with PACS administrator to ensure remote access is readily available
Has frequent contact with others. May deal with delicate or controversial issues requiring diplomacy and high degree of tact. Must be able to communicate well with end users. Must always be able to exhibit courtesy and professionalism. Responsible for communicating with leadership and administrative groups on a regular basis.

What You Will Need:
Must have knowledge of Hospital Information Systems and how they integrate, Cerner and Athena EHR experience preferred.
Driver’s license required.
Will be responsible for knowing how departments relate to one another and process flows in between them. Strong computer skills.
Strong clinical workflow knowledge and order entry skills preferred but not required, to assist with the implementation of CPOE (Computerized Physician Order Entry)
Associates degree required in healthcare or informatics related fields or 5 years of highly demonstrated related experience in accomplishing progressive assignments of increasing responsibilities may be substituted for the required education.
Minimal of three years informatics or ambulatory setting applications experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience
The Clinical Informatics Specialist integrates clinical skills, computer science and information science to identify, analyze and transmit information to make it meaningful and useful to clinical practice. This includes the development, evaluation, adaptation and customization of applications, tools, processes, and structures that support clinical practice both in the hospital and office practice settings.
