The Mobile Engineer designs and builds advanced application features for the mobile platform, utilizing the Epic Mobile Library and other third-party APIs. Additionally, this developer is responsible for creating and maintaining an abstraction library, bug fixes and app updates. Collaborating with the Journey Owner, UI and UX designers and off-shore developers are also key responsibilities of this developer role.
Produce and integrate Java/Kotlin code into mobile applications.
Collaborate with Journey Owners, designers, other developers, and testers to create a best-of-platform, accessible user experience.
Implement measures to safeguard users data and ensure privacy and security standards are being met.
Apply advanced design specifications and complex behavioral interactions.
Monitor Azure Dev-Ops for work assignments.
Participate in peer code reviews.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems or equivalent or a combination of equivalent related education and experience.
2+ years native mobile engineering experience working with Android
A well-rounded understanding of a variety of Android frameworks
Understanding of Android performance optimization best practices
Understanding of hardware compatibility and versioning strategy
Knowledge of Googles design principles and application interface guidelines
Familiarity with mobile development life cycle, specifically Agile methodology
Exceptional coding and proofreading skills
Demonstrated experience working with APIs and third-party libraries
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate ideas in both technical and business terms
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems or equivalent
