You Will Be Responsible For:

Execute on day-to-day social media strategy, content and campaigns across social platforms under the guidance of the Digital Social and Content Strategy Team
Plan, write and edit social media posts on multiple channels for multiple audiences
Work collaboratively with the copy, design, and photography/video teams to develop original channel-specific content to execute campaigns
Assist with social media reporting, providing thoughtful, strategic insight to internal teams to help guide decision making
Helps generate weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual social media reports on the development and progress of our social media platforms, incorporating optimization strategies and analyzing data
Maintains brand integrity across all media formats
Develops and executes a comprehensive external and internal communications strategy that builds awareness of AHU with a variety of audiences that include: media (local, national, trade); AdventHealth team members; AHU alumi; AHU students; AHU donors and potential donors; consumers and potential students; Seventh-day Adventist Church stakeholders; current AHU faculty and staff.
What You Will Need: Required:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
BA/BS in Communications, Journalism or related field
Five years of experience in corporate communications, education communications, marketing, journalism or related field
Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in understandable terms to all levels of staff
Deep understanding of the traditional and social media landscape
Outstanding presentation skills
Manage student workers or support staff in the creation of MarComm related material.
The Social Media & Communications Manager (CM) works with various leaders within AdventHealth University (AHU) and AdventHealth to develop communications and digital strategies that advance the mission, brand and reputation of AHU with students and key constituents.
The Manager is responsible for AHU brand integrity across internal and external communications and digital formats, including social media platforms. This role coordinates with the AdventHealth MarCom team on shared initiatives, media relations, communications efforts and any outsourced projects. They coordinate with the Digital Omnichannel team on social and content strategy, content creation and to publish editorial calendars. This individual will perform reputation monitoring for all AHU social media properties. The Social Media & Communications Manager will help manage a team of student workers to assist in the creation of MarComm content.
The Manager supports AHU’s philanthropic efforts with strategic communications development and execution. They also directly support the AHU president by developing and executing thought-leadership strategy across mainstream media, trade publications and owned media opportunities. The manager is a passionate storyteller who works with students, AHU leadership and alumni to tell stories via earned and owned media. The manager has proven media relations experience working directly with TV, online and print publications and proven digital experience in social media.
