Duke University Health System - Patient Revenue Management Office (PRMO) seeks to hire a Supervisor, Accounts Receivable who will embrace our mission of Advancing Health Together.
The Transplant Supervisor of Accounts Receivable provides overall supervision of the Patient Financial Services Solid Organ and Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Teams and coordinates a variety of business-related functions. This role also interacts with Transplant Clinical Team, Maestro Care Team, Billing Team, Transplant Clinics, Payroll and HR.
Duties and Responsibilities of this level
Provides onboarding, training and coaching to staff
Provide support for staff while on-call afterhours and weekends
Demonstrate an ability to encourage, engage and develop staff to apply critical thinking
Perform Monthly Audits, monitor and evaluate staff performance related to Duke's Behavioral expectations and service delivery to internal and external customers.
Respond to patient and family concerns seeking to bring mutually effective resolution; ensuring deployment of effective service recovery
Responsible for recruiting, hiring, and retaining employees
Maintain employee files and recruitment files
Provide Monthly feedback and Mid-Year & Year End Coaching Sessions
Implement work culture action plan initiatives
Ensures staff are compliant with annual safety and compliance training for the work unit
Consistently engages with staff on work culture and diversity initiatives
Ensure growth of staff members through effective development planning and goal setting; PIP implemented as needed
Monitory Overtime, process payroll, time and attendance and administer PTO policies and procedures including FMLA
Conduct Testing for system upgrades
Monitor Patient, Referral & Claim Edit work queues daily
Attend Service Access Managers monthly meetings and quarterly Solid Organ Retreats
Provide Month-End numbers for KPIs and assist with Internal Control Audits
Identify and assist in implementation of operational improvements to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of services provided
Work generally requires knowledge of clerical and accounting principles usually acquired through an associate degree in Accounting or a directly related field.
Work generally requires five years of progressive experience in an accounts receivable environment. A bachelor's degree in Accounting or directly related field may be substituted for the education requirement and 2 years experience. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
