Under the direction of the Office of Health Informatics & Analytics (OHIA) Director of Operations, the Manager of Business Intelligence (BI) Operations manages a team of business intelligence professionals to support the data, reporting, and analytics needs of UCLA Health. In this role, you and your team will work closely and collaboratively with end users, Application teams, Epic TSs, Super Users, the Training team, ISS support, and other stakeholders to ensure the right reporting tools are used to maximize value to end users.
5+ years' healthcare experience required
Previous experience managing analytics or reporting services functions and teams in a healthcare environment
Extensive knowledge of best practices regarding reporting, workflows, policies, procedures, systems and culture in the healthcare environment required
Knowledge of data warehouse concepts, data structures and reporting required
Senior-level knowledge of SAP Business Objects architecture, functions, features, and capabilities
Understanding of SQL as well as relational and multidimensional designs
Experience in gathering, documenting, prioritizing and tracking requirements
Ability to translate business questions and requirements into reports, views, and BI query objects
Leadership and managerial track record, including leadership in project management and process track record
Certification in Epic Clarity Data Model (preferred)
Experience influencing and shaping consensus, and leading group discussions and presentations to clinical and business operations leaders from across the organization
Experience researching, organizing, analyzing, and synthesizing data to support effective decision making
