Do you love working in a dynamic environment and are you passionate about being part of a legal team dedicated to supporting MSK's mission? We have an exciting new attorney opportunity for an Associate General Counsel, Technology and Data Transactions , to join our legal team.
Negotiate and draft contracts and provide legal review and advice in support of technology and data resources across the institution to support patient care and research objectives.
Work closely with leadership in two related business units: the Technology (Digits) Division and the Digital Health, Data Assets and Diagnostics Division.
Proactively advise on substantive areas of law and be familiar with the impact of regulations, including patient and data privacy and anti-kickback regulations.
As a member of the MSK legal team, participate with senior lawyers and management to understand MSK business strategies and needs to maximize value. In supporting the business units, review and develop policies, procedures, and training materials.
A Juris Doctor degree and admission to the New York State Bar.
A minimum of six to ten years of legal experience in technology, digital health, data and diagnostics transactions, including playing a lead role in the preparation and negotiation of complex agreements.
Experience with healthcare vendor transactions, including medical device and equipment procurement, health informatics and data products agreements, master technology agreements, software license agreements, software as service agreements, and professional services agreements.
Experience with data collaborations, data licenses, research collaborations, and strategic investments that are data driven and/or digitally enabled.
Experience in a law firm and/or in-house at an academic medical center or other health care organization or company is preferred.
