The Sr Financial Analyst provides financial modeling, analysis, and insights to support the organizations Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO). Under the direction of the System Finance Director-EPMO, this position will partner with key stakeholders to evaluate initiatives and provide timely, relevant, and accurate financial measurement and reporting to support EPMO objectives.
Serves as a primary resource to operational stakeholders in evaluating the financial impacts of identified EPMO initiatives
Partners with project management, data analytics, and operational leadership to understand and model financial impacts around EPMO initiatives
Serves as a key partner in the development and standardization of measurement and reporting across a wide variety of disciplines and areas of the organization
Works with Project Owners and Finance teams to ensure consistent approach to valuation of Project impact (including validating all Project business cases)
Reviews projects submitted for EPMO Finance approval and prepares any necessary briefing for EPMO Finance Lead to make final review and approval of the Project at a specific stage gate
Interfaces with multiple Finance, Operations, and Project Managers to create and review monthly reporting and forecasting analyses in support of the EPMO (tracking both value delivery and timing)
Assists the EPMO Finance Lead in resolving resource allocation, project management, financial and risk issues
Makes recommendations to Projects Owners and the EPMO Finance Lead to resolve emerging issues or take advantage of positive trends; highlights developing financial trends which could hinder or accelerate financial impact
Performs other ad-hoc reporting and analysis as requested
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics or other related area of study
3-5 years of finance experience
2+ years of finance experience in a hospital or health care environment
Ability to synthesize significant amounts of financial and operating data into concise and actionable information
Strong analytical capabilities
Ability to critically review and improve valuation metrics
Ability to build relationships with key finance and operations stakeholders
Excellent organization, time management, and prioritization skills and disciplined process orientation
Strong background in use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Master of Business Administration or equivalent advanced degree or working towards that degree
Experience working with PowerBI, Adaptive Office Connect, SQL, or other data analytics tools
