SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Radiation Oncology Systems Specialist will be serve as the top technical expert for software applications in Radiation Oncology. The position is responsible for the management, maintenance, planning, education and problem resolutions of Radiation Oncology (RO) systems and applications. This position will also work with vendors and external experts to ensure that this technology and software application is deployed effectively within Radiation Oncology. He/she will work closely with the Chief of Physics and end users to ensure successful use of Radiation Oncology applications.
Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience (4 years) in computer science or related field with six years of related experience or ten years total of related experience.
Previous experience in a healthcare environment.
Experience in UNIX/LINUS is a plus.
Experience with Macintosh desirable
Experience with AIRA Radiation Oncology strongly preferred.
Microsoft and/or Citrix Certification desirable, but not required.
Expertise in SQL database management and configuration desirable, but not required.
Experience with scripting and/or programming tools desirable, but not required.
