The Senior Financial Analyst provides advanced analytics support for financial reports, trend analysis, and monitoring of financial data for organizational grants, sites and operations. This position is responsible for assisting the Director of FP&A with minimizing financial risk by coordinating the financial management systems and processes. Develops custom reports used in identifying issues, trends, patterns and relationships across all organizational financial systems. Assists in providing grant financial analysis, ensuring associated expenses meet eligibility criteria, optimizing resource utilization, completing rebudget as needed. Provides leadership and training to CMC staff on grant-related areas. This position reports to and is under the general direction of the Director of FP&A.
Performs complex statistical, cost, and financial analysis of data
Collaborates with other staff to effectively present insights based on financial activity which originates in other departments (such as Patient Billing, Pharmacy, Accounting, Purchasing)
Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of grant reports and related financial statements
Plays a lead role in the formation of monthly financials for operational and grant reporting
Improve financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, recommending actions
Analyzes and investigates trends in key indicators of financial performance
Participate in the preparation of the annual financial audits, Medicare Cost Reports, PPS Reconciliation, UDS, OSHPD and other critical internal and external reportsA
Play a key role in overseeing all aspects of the grant financial performance, including financial planning, analysis, accounting, and researching & resolving issues
Identifies and develops strategies to optimize the financial administration process for grants and contracts, in collaboration with the Grants Manager
Partners with team and program staff in the development of agency and grant budgets, incorporating financial controls and regulatory guidelines
Prepares financial reports and ensures timely submission as required by the funding agency
Responsible for partnering with team to ensure accurate, timely completion of accounting, financial analysis, and the monthly close process
Actively participates in the development of policies, guidelines, workflows, and whitepapers
May involve occasional day travel to clinic sites to conduct meetings
Demonstrates super-user proficiencies in use of Microsoft Dynamics accounting system, its data importer and Report Manager module; training to be provided by CMC
Promotes the Vision, Mission, and Values of the Organization
May coordinate the work of other staff to ensure fiscal responsibilities and worksheets related to grant and operational programs are completed appropriately
Mentor and train staff as needed

Recent MS Dynamics GP experience at intermediate level or above
Experience with data analytics and Adaptive Planning software
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
May require sitting for long periods of time. Must be able to reach above the shoulder level to work, must be able to bend, squat and sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, kneel, and twist/turn to work. Must have finger dexterity to operate keyboard. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Must be able to hear staff on the phone and those who are served in-person and speak clearly to communicate information to clients, funders and staff. Must have vision that is adequate to read memos, a computer screen, personnel forms, and clinical and administrative documents.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in the Finance Department offices. Involves frequent telephone and email contact with staff. Work may be stressful at times. Interaction with others is constant and interruptive. Must be able to work overtime, nights, and weekends, if necessary.
