The Bobst International Center was founded in 1997 so that physicians and patients from abroad could acquire appropriate referrals and expedited access to MSK. In addition to English, our staff is fluent in Arabic, Cantonese, French, Greek, Polish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, Hindi, Mandarin, Spanish, and Swedish.
We provide guided access to MSK for international patients and represent the MSK brand by making a positive first impression and supporting patients throughout their care journey. The International Patient Liaison will continuously greet and navigate patients at their MSK appointments and work conjunctively with physicians clinical and administrative teams to ensure a high touch and well-coordinated experience.

Host virtual Welcome to MSK meetings with patient and caregivers to warmly introduce them to the organization, prepare them for their first visit and complete patient registration
Assist patients coordinate travel services and provide expertise in recommending local resources including hotel and housing accommodations, transportation options, etc.
Execute innovative and out of the box solutions to meet the individual needs of the patients and their loved ones.
Cultivate insightful, respectful, and collaborative relationships across the organization that will ensure seamless coordination of care and services
Investigate, advocate, and manage patient concerns with appropriate colleagues in a timely manner and deliver on real time service recovery
Build collegial relationships with external stakeholders including referral partnerships, international referring physicians and other industry representatives to advance the strategic goals of the International Center
Follow up on pending medical records or materials to ensure the most informed and comprehensive consultation possible
Assist clinical teams coordinate follow-up visits, diagnostic testing and external consultations as needed
Mobilize resources to expedite wait times and prioritize international patients who fall outside of usual criteria
Accurately and thoroughly document status of patient cases, ensuring ease of department-wide knowledge of a patients journey
Continue to enthusiastically assist patients with requests after they transition home
Bachelors degree preferred. In lieu of a bachelors degree, four years of job-related work experience can be accepted
Bi-lingual Spanish required
2-4 years of healthcare experience preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency in Microsoft Office
Ability to handle acutely ill patients in stressful situations
Monday-Friday, 9am- 5pm
Requires flexibility to meet the needs of patients, which at times may include extended business hours
