PHYSCN SHS MGR 1 (Medical Staff Supervisor)
Salary Range: $112,000/yr. - $307,300/yr.
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Associate Medical Director, this position is responsible for supervision and development of the provider staff (MD, DO and NP) that includes scheduling, recruitment, corrective action and related personnel activities. This position provides a full range of physician support to all clinic areas. Responsible for medical care appropriate to level of training and board certification.
This position is a 100%, 12-month appointment.

- Work at a computer terminal for extended periods of time.
- Assist/lift patients, as needed.

- Position subject to credentialing process at Student Health and Counseling Services.
- This position is subject to pre-placement screening provided by Occupational Health Services. Pre-placement screening will consist infection control testing that includes blood tests for TB screening and other infectious diseases and may include a physical exam, provided by Occupational Health Services, given at no charge to the applicant. This is done to meet Federal, State and University requirements.
- Position may, at times, require employee to work with or be in areas where hazardous materials and/or infection diseases are present.
- Position requires signing a statement acknowledging requirement to report child abuse (CANRA) and requirement to report suspected abuse of dependent adults and elders.
- Work flexible schedule and varied lunch hours.
- Provide medical service at other UC campuses as directed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Additional Minimum License/Certification:
- Current licensure by the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance.
- Current Board certification in primary care area recognized by American Board of Medical Specialties (Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics).
- Current BLS certification.
- Current DEA certification.
Minimum Education/Experience:
- Recent experience in clinical practice (5 years).
- Experience working with Practice Management Database and/or Electronic Medical Record system.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
- Supervision and management background to recruit, train, evaluate, motivate, resolve problems and conflicts and build an effective service-oriented team environment.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills to clearly and effectively interact with diverse individuals.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Additional Preferred License/Certification:
- Current certification in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS).
Preferred Education/Experience:
- Experience in college health, sports medicine and gender care
- Experience in eating disorder care
- Teaching experience working with residents, students and nurses.
