The Manager, Professional and Home Care Billing manages, controls and directs the functions related to the billing and collection of professional and home care insurance claims and home care patient collections.
Adds value as a key member of Patient Financial Services management. Understand the business, financial aspects, industry, customers, payers and strategy.
Supervises employees, provides direction, coaches, trains and develops and manages performance to ACH goals and expectations.
Prepares, manages and adheres to department budgets to maintain expenditure controls.
Manages, controls and directs the functions related to the billing and collection of professional and home care accounts, including governmental and commercial payers, private pay balances and all other billing accommodations.
Ensures department responsibilities are performed in a manner consistent with ACH's customer services position to maximize cash flow and minimize days outstanding in accounts receivable
Provides detailed measurement and interpretation, prepares analysis of data and presents findings to leadership and finance with analyses of revenue cycle operations and financial performance as required.
Provides reports and analysis to identify significant variances to expected performance outcomes and metrics
Prepares presentations that communicate complex analysis and findings in a concise and interpretable manner to support strategic initiatives.
Directs the build of Epic data queries and reports using all necessary tools, based on user/department requests
Other duties as required.
Experience in insurance account collections is required
Experience In healthcare revenue cycle is required
Experience in HCFA 1500 and other electronic billing requirements is required
Experience in third party payor regulations is required.
Experience in working with all levels within an organization is required.
Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.
Education and Experience
Education: bachelor's degree is preferred
Years of relevant experience: 5 to 7 years is required
Years of experience supervising: 3 to 5 years is preferred
