The Development team is seeking a Prospect Development Associate to help facilitate the efficient identification, assignment, management and analysis of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centers fundraising prospect pool. The associate collaborates with prospect developmentteam members to optimize portfolios and help move assigned prospects through the fundraising cycle.
Work with prospect development colleagues to identify new prospects for particular portfolios.
Research, evaluate, and communicate relevant information from MSK systems and external resources to facilitate fundraising strategy. Examples of key areas of inquiry include financial status, professional and personal background, social connections, philanthropic priorities, current and historical relationships with MSK, and potential reputational risks inherent in MSK's engagement with particular constituents
Act as data steward for prospect development data, maintaining quality information and serving as knowledgeable colleague about correct entry and meaning of prospect management data.
Work with process improvement team, actively participate in continuous process improvement efforts to streamline prospect development processes.
Support prospect development team administration.
3+ years of related experience.
A strong attention to detail.
A curiosity about fundraising and philanthropy.
An interest and skillset in research and using information to make decisions.
