The role you’ll contribute:
The Logistics Coordinator – Resource Management works under the direction of Resource Management leadership on all assigned projects related to the campus and Health Village. Projects are derived from the Operational Excellence Team or directed by senior management. The Logistics Coordinator – Resource Management will provide thoroughly disinfected supplies. Supplies will be accurately assembled on racks for processing. The Logistics Coordinator – Resource Management will be responsible for use of the processing equipment and able to troubleshoot minor issues.

- Ensures the daily progress of assigned project(s) to meet goals, safety standards, and budgets within leadership and customer expectations.
- Provides feedback to leadership and customers on project(s) progress.
- Ensures database reflects current progress and budget updates for project(s).
- Develops and maintains positive relationships with all departments and vendors. Serves as a general resource and liaison for the Director, PMs, and AdventHealth Leadership. Performs regular and consistent follow up on all tasks to ensure completion and satisfaction.
- Participates in and coordinates other special projects as assigned by leadership.
- Rotates assignments among various areas within the department functions including but not limited to: collecting items from various locations on the campus, sorting, transporting, arranging items on racks, logging items in software program, and delivering items to designated area(s) on the campus.
- Properly identifies and segregates items that are expired, soiled, or otherwise compromised. Correctly and safely operates all equipment in the decontamination area ensuring that all standards for personal protective equipment and prevention of exposure are adhered to at all times.
- Ensures all parameters for disinfection are met by reviewing and documenting all disinfection results to confirm proper disinfection time, temperature, humidity, and disinfectant exposure. Prior to releasing items for use ensures that all required chemical and/or biological testing has been completed.
QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Associate degree, preferably in a related field such as: business, health care, or engineering; or Two (2) years of experience in an acute care hospital setting
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field such as: business, health care, or engineering
- One (1) year of experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Six Sigma Certification
