The Director Foundation Advanced Analytics drives forecasting and analytics to assess and value the untapped opportunity in current/potential donors and evaluate the potential of realizing the identified philanthropic revenue. This position reports to the BSW Foundation CFO and leads analytics across BSW Foundations driving practices in data capture, analysis, reporting and usage to best support strategic selection of donor prospects. This position works closely with BSW Foundation Leaders in goal setting and monitoring, portfolio development, staff/event productivity, and the impact of various changes to key factors at the Foundations, such as staff size and deployment. The DIR Foundation Advanced Analytics interacts across all Foundations in a manner that creates an atmosphere of trust and competency. They lead the effort for the BSW Foundations to enhance focus on data driven fundraising. They communicate the strategic roadmap driven by analytics in a spirit of collaboration and dialogue among leadership, development officers, and data experts. The DIR Foundation Advanced Analytics functions as a team player both within the Foundation and with other leaders and volunteers engaged in fundraising.
WHAT IS EXPECTED (Essential Functions)
1. Leads planning and review of Foundation forecasting models to assess the likelihood of realizing the untapped
opportunity of donors in the current environment, campaign evaluation, and events. Forecasting and analysis
serves as a key function in annual goal setting, tracking, portfolio development, and strategic development
deployment.
2. Communicates and manages relevant analytics to BSWH Foundation leadership and staff to provide strategic
guidance for development operations driving innovation across areas of analytics, prospect and portfolio
development, donor records, and donor engagement.
3. Provides and maintains customized dashboards for the Foundations, administrators/physicians, and volunteers
involved in fundraising utilizing the Foundation data warehouse and other relevant understandable information.
4. Assists the BSWH Foundation CFO in strategic and operational analytics and forecasting to provide astute
counsel on matters related to finance and development operations aimed at realizing the Foundations’ ambitious
goals and aspirations, in order to advance BSW’s mission and impact.
5. Works closely with Foundation colleagues in major gifts, planned giving, and donor experience to use analytics
to contribute and support strategic and tactical planning, priority setting, and decision making to best position the
Foundations in their efforts to achieve sustainable growth, particularly around transformational gifts.
6. Leads with a broad institutional perspective, through open and proactive communication, this position will
elevate the use of forecasting and analytics to more prominent, sophisticated robust and automated processes
within the Foundations.
7. Possess experience with progressive healthcare or university related foundations, higher education, academic
medicine and or other similarly complex organizations with an understanding of philanthropy concepts and
terminology, as well as experience with working in a campaign setting.
8. Assist in preparation and monitor multi-year fundraising plans for major service lines and/or departments

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
1. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office 365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, PowerBI or Smartsheet), emphasis on
Excel. Knowledge of Blackbaud products preferred.
2. Business reporting skills and experience in creating dashboards, interpreting results, and communicating
financial information.
3. Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
4. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as proven ability to think strategically, critically, and
creatively.
5. Knowledge and experience with high functioning development, fundraising, and prospect management
preferred.
6. Demonstrates high level of integrity, humility, and trust, as well as an interest in serving as a resource to others
and obtaining their input. Should possess excellent communication and presentation skill, as well as flexibility and
cultural agility to navigate a large complex environment.
QUALIFICATIONS- EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
