The role you’ll contribute:
This Executive Director of Finance reports to the Vice President of Finance (VP) and serves as the Finance leader responsible for the daily financial management and reporting of the Central Florida Division (CFD) Population Health Strategies the Central Florida Post-Acute entities. The Executive Director of Finance works closely with the Vice President for Post-Acute and the Executive Director leaders of Population Health and AdventHealth Hospice Care, along with the joint venture leadership team of the other Post-Acute entities to monitor and sustain performance for these business units and provide financial leadership for the various growth and improvement strategies across the Central Florida Division (Population Health) and Central Region of the Central Florida Division (Post-Acute) of AdventHealth.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Provides financial leadership by monitoring and supporting the operations team in achieving performance benchmarks and accountabilities for Population Health and Post-Acute Care business units and strategies, including Population Health (AHPN, AHAP, ACO, BPCIa, CJR, Community Care and Diabetes Institute) and Post-Acute Care (AdventHealth Home Care, AdventHealth Hospice Care, AdventHeatlh Home Infusion, AdventHealth Respiratory & Equipment), ensuring expense management and overall operational efficiency. All undertaken to improve business unit financial performance and sustainability, and to support the AdventHeatlh need for robust Population Health strategies and performance and high-quality Post-Acute Care access for consumers across the Central Florida Division.
- Support the Executive and extended leadership teams for Population Health and Post-Acute Care and associated budgets of $42M of investment in Population Health programs and $70M of Post-Acute Net Revenue (including joint-ventures) across the Central Florida Region.
- Oversee the Post-Acute Finance Director, responsible for 18 FTE’s and all accounting, financial planning, budgeting, capital planning, revenue cycle, and payor contracting.
- Support the Vice President for Post-Acute Care and Executive Director of Population Health in creating and implementing operational plans to achieve the strategic goals and objectives outlined by the Senior Executive team
- Maintain continuous lines of communication, keeping leadership informed of all critical issues.
- Lead the development of financial proformas and analysis, in coordination with the CFD hospital facility and AdventHealth MSO finance teams, to assist Executive leadership in strategic decision making.
QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or relevant discipline
- 7 years of experience in healthcare finance / accounting, or related field, with specific emphasis on accounting practice, cost accounting, statistical analysis, budgeting, management decision making, reporting, and financial modeling.
- 2 years of experience in a management position
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or relevent discipline
- Previous experience working with post-acute healthcare entities and/or Population Health strategies
- CPA or similar financial management certification
