In compliance with applicable New York and New Jersey State regulatory authorities, COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine) is mandatory for all MSK employees, contingent workers, and volunteers. Exceptions are permitted for those employees who request and receive an approved medical or fully remote exemption.
*Staff working at a MSK New Jersey location must be up to date with COVID-19 vaccination, which includes having completed the primary COVID-19 vaccination series and booster once eligible as mandated by New Jersey State. All New Jersey staff not yet eligible for a booster must receive a booster within 3 weeks of becoming eligible as a condition of continued employment at MSK.
Note: Individuals are eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster five months after receiving the second dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or two months after the J&J vaccine.
Job Description
Memorial Sloan Kettering is seeking a Fund Manager to join our Neurology department. Join us today and help make a difference every day!
You will:
- Be responsible for the financial management of all non-operating departmental funds, including review and approval of expenditures.
- Analyze departmental funds to ensure proper utilization and to oversee the creation of budgets and metrics. Operating analysis may be required as well.
- Participate in and/or manage the creation of grant applications.
- May lead large, complex projects related to funds or departmental initiatives.
- May supervise staff in the future.
You are:
- Capable of building customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.
- A good decision-maker, with proven success at making timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.
- Able to work effectively and consistently achieve results in an environment notable for complex, sometimes contradictory information.
- Adept at planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.
- Adept at building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives and goals.
- An effective communicator, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences and communicating based on that understanding.
- Adept at learning quickly, applying insights from past efforts to new situations.
You need:
- Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant financial management experience; clinical research, grant management and/or hospital related experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to solve problems by using a logical, systematic, and sequential approach.
This position will have a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in person/2 days remote each week.
