In compliance with applicable New York and New Jersey State regulatory authorities, COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine) is mandatory for all MSK employees, contingent workers, and volunteers. Exceptions are permitted for those employees who request and receive an approved medical or fully remote exemption.
*Staff working at a MSK New Jersey location must be up to date with COVID-19 vaccination, which includes having completed the primary COVID-19 vaccination series and booster once eligible as mandated by New Jersey State. All New Jersey staff not yet eligible for a booster must receive a booster within 3 weeks of becoming eligible as a condition of continued employment at MSK.
Note: Individuals are eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster five months after receiving the second dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or two months after the J&J vaccine.
Job Description
Are you seeking a new opportunity in patient finance? Passionate about assisting patients with their financial questions as they navigate treatment? If so, join our Patient Revenue Department and become our next Patient Financial Coordinator!
You Are:
- Detailed, results-oriented, and organized with a high standard of accuracy
- Flexible in your approach and demeanor to align with the shifting demands of evolving circumstances
- An excellent communicator with good written and verbal skills
- Able to exercise judgment with autonomy when handling sophisticated situations
You Will:
- Contact patients via telephone prior to their scheduled appointment to acquire demographic and financial information
- Discuss financial options with patients who are considering additional services at MSK
- Provide patients with information regarding hospital billing and other administrative procedures
- Generate Medical Record Numbers as requested by any clinical areas that may need tests reviewed
- Advise patients about their financial responsibilities, options and actions to be taken
You Have:
- Associate's degree and 1-3 years of experience in patient finance is strongly preferred
- The drive to provide outstanding patient service
- Available for flexible scheduling Monday-Friday between 7:30AM-7PM and occasional Saturday rotation
